The Gozo Channel car ferry holds around 50–55 cars per sailing (25 min). You pay on the RETURN from Gozo only (not going out). Foot passengers always board immediately — round trip €4.65. Car round trip: €15.70.
Best times for the Gozo ferry — morning 6:00–8:30 AM (almost empty) and evening after 8 PM (no crowds, night ferry runs all night). Worst: Friday 3–7 PM and Sunday 5–9 PM — Maltese returning from the weekend.
From Hondoq Bay to Comino is only 15 minutes by boat! Avoid the crowds from Malta — crossings from Gozo are quieter and cheaper. Highly recommend JoyRide, friendly staff and punctual.
